provide parents with a handy list of ‘codes’ to which they can refer or add others as appropriate

ensure parents have a greater understanding about the content, nature and direction of the texts or messages that their children could be receiving and/or sending

prompt parents to think about how to intervene in response to what they have seen (or read) in a timely manner as well as ensure this intervention happens in a measured and authoritative way.
